GROUP 5 - 1JG
Salem
Lutheran School, Tomball, Texas

Howdy all,
I teach First graders at Salem Lutheran School in Tomball, Texas. I have
24 students. Our school is pre-school through 8th grade. There are many
Lutheran grade schools, high schools and colleges throughout the USA.
Maybe you know of some.
Tomball is a small city (population 6,000) about 45 minutes NW of
Houston. It is a mix of rural and urban areas. I drive past cow
pastures, through crowded intersections, across railroad tracks, and
through 2 school zones to get to my school.
Weather? Well, in Texas, we say that if you wait a while the weather
will change. Wednesday it was 39 degrees and today it was 55 degrees. Of
course, on Jan. 16 and 17 our school was closed because of icy roads. In
most states, icy roads don't slow anyone down, but all our school
districts were closed.
We can't wait to start counting lost teeth! I have joined this activity
for about 6 years, and I thank Lynda for spending the time it takes to
manage it. Cheers for her!
We will be mapping your locations, and checking your weather on
weather.com while we wiggle and jiggle those teeth out.
Thanks, Joyce Kokel

Hi all!
Our class lost 6 teeth during February. One came out accidentally when a
boy bumped his mouth, but it still counts.
It is getting to be 75 degrees here in Texas. But you never know when
some cooler weather may slip in to surprise us.
Thanks, Joyce Kokel
