GROUP 4 - 1DH

Redwood Elementary, West Orange, New Jersey

31/1/2007

Greetings from West Orange, New Jersey.

We are Mrs. Hegedus' Class at Redwood Elementary. We are in First Grade and have 18 students. We also have a student teacher. Her name is Miss Payne. This will be our teacher's 5th year participating in this tally. We can't wait to start counting teeth.

Our school population is 520ish students. We have four classes in every grade level (K-5) except our 5th and 3rd grades which have 5 classes. We are a BIG school. We are also one of seven elementary schools in our district.

Our school mascot is a Rocket and our colors are blue and gold. We have a school motto where everyone shows H.E.A.R.T (Help, Encouragement, Affirmation, Respect, and Trust). We are celebrating our 50th Birthday this year and we did a school wide Timeline from 1955-2006. It was so much fun.

Can't wait to map you on our Map. We are so EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Talk to you soon,

Greetings from the Garden State!

We counted and wiggled our teeth! Our tooth total for February was 6 lost teeth. One student of mine lost his two front teeth.

We will be celebrating our Read Across America tomorrow with a surprise guest.....The Cat in the Hat! We are so excited.

We can't wait to graph everyone's results.

Happy Wiggling :0)

Greetings from New Jersey!

It is finally feeling like Spring. We thought Winter would never leave. We have been so busy wiggling our teeth. In my class 4 boys lost teeth (one boy lost 2 in all) so in all our boys total was 5 teeth. We had two girls in our class who lost teeth. My total for the month of March is 7! We are enjoying graphing Group 4 results on bar graphs. Keep wiggling!

Happy Spring!
