Maxwell Elementary, Montgomery, Alabama

Greetings to the group,

Hello to the other members of the group from Maxwell Elementary School in Montgomery, Alabama. We are a first grade class of 14 students. We are located on Maxwell Air Force Base. Our school has about 480 students in grades preschool through sixth. There are 4 first grade classes. Our class mascot is the Panda. We have enjoyed celebrating our 100th day in school today and did many varied activities to go along with that.

Montgomery is the capital city of Alabama and is rich in history. This is a beautiful area of our state. Maxwell is home to the Air War College and the Air Command and Staff College of the Air Force.

We are very excited about participating in the Tooth Tally project and look forward to hearing from all the others in our group.

Hello group 3,

Our class lost 5 teeth in March - 2 boys lost one each and 3 girls lost one each. That was better than we did in February.

This is our second week back after Spring break and we're getting some much needed rain. The azaleas and spring flowers are beautiful now.

We've read the book "Flat Stanley" and sent off our pictures to grandparents, aunts/uncles and friends and are anxiously awaiting return letters.
We hope everyone else has a blessed Easter.

Happy Spring, Ms. Cory's first grade
