Hey first graders,

My Name is Miss Tuente (or Miss T) and I am student teaching in Ms. Edmond's classroom. We are both teaching together right now.

Graytown School is in Graytown, Ohio, but it is a very small town. It is about 20 minutes southeast of Toledo, Ohio. We get a lot of wind, snow, and cold weather, due to all of the great lakes around us. Today's weather was snowy and cold and the temperature was about 20 degrees outside. We were able to go outside for recess for the first time this week. If it is too cold, we are not allowed to go outside.

Graytown Elementary School has Kindergarten-5th grade students and we have about 130 students altogether; a very small school. We have 21 students in first grade; there are 6 boys and 15 girls! We lost eight teeth in January and we are ready to lose more teeth in February, March, and April!

Can't wait to hear from all of you! We are ready to start counting teeth!

Dear Tooth Friends,

Hi! Three people lost a tooth a few days ago. McKenna lost her tooth while she was playing at home. Kaleb was running with his brother at his house when his tooth fell out. Chloe is absent today, so we do not know how she lost her tooth. We will let you know when she comes back to school.

Our classroom has a tooth chart on a bulletin board. There is a list of the classes in our tooth group where we are going to keep track of lost teeth. We have the months of February, March, and April on our chart. We also have a United States map and we are coloring in the states of where you all live. We are also going to add the country of Australia, so our class knows where you are from, too.

Love, Graytown First Graders
