GROUP 1 - 2/1KJ
Tucker Elementary,
Ponchatoula, Louisiana

30/1/2007
Our class has 21 first graders in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Our school is
called Tucker Elementary, which is located on the south side of our
parish. Ponchatoula is a very quaint little community. We have an
alligator in a cage next to the railroad tracks. His name is Ole Hard
Hide. We are especially known for our strawberries. We have a Strawberry
Festival annually, in March. We are about 45 minutes north of New
Orleans, but did not suffer any major damage from Hurricanes Katrina or
Rita (thankfully.) We are very thankful for the mild hurricane season
this year. We are very sad that our New Orleans Saints are not going to
the Super Bowl :(.

We lost 6 teeth this month. Jacora lost 3 of them. She is running out of
teeth to chew with!
