Hi everyone!
My name is Courtney Myers and I am a 1st grade teacher at Barwell Road Elementary. My class is very excited to be a part of the Tooth Tally Project this year!

Our school is located in Raleigh, the capital of North Carolina. It is a brand new year round school. For those of you who are not familiar with the concept, year round schools have 4 different tracks. Each track is in school for approximately. 9 weeks and then is off for 3 weeks. A year round school can accommodate about 20% more students than traditional calendar schools. They are very popular here because it seems as though Raleigh and surrounding areas are always growing in population!

I have 25 students in my class, 15 boys and 10 girls. We have a very diverse population at Barwell representing many different cultures. Barwell Road Elementary is also home to Lynda Smith- our wonderful technology teacher and creator of this project.

I look forward to hearing from all of you!
Courtney M. Myers, 1st Grade Teacher/Track 4, Barwell Road Elementary
