This is Lindfield East Public School's entry into the 2007 Annual School Web Design Awards. |
Do you know that many families come to Lindfield East Public School from other places around the world? Almost half of our school is made up of children who learn English as a second language and have made the journey to our school.
How did we name our site?
We wanted a name to describe how our focus families came
to Lindfield East Public School. Our school emblem is a lyrebird, so
we thought that Journeys to the Lyrebird would be appropriate. We also
thought that it would be an interesting topic to interview four families
that moved from around the world to the the Lyrebird.
Our families
We asked four families from different backgrounds to allow us to
feature their stories in our website. Each readily agreed and have
generously allowed us to feature them. To protect their privacy we have
not used their real surnames in this website.
